2007 STAFF: NEW & CHANGED
This year we are welcoming several new staff members to the PS 150 family:
- Becky Randolph will teach kindergarten. She will be supported full-time by an assistant, Mahwish Najan, a graduate student at Hunter College.
- Our longtime first grade teacher, Linda Jones, will be assisted by Lisa Schultheis. Lisa received a degree in Education from New York University in May.
- Rachel Tejada joins us from Boston to teach second grade.
- Christina Santiago will support both teachers and students in mathematics, as well as providing administrative support to me. Christina will be working out of room 502.
- Rebecca Newfield takes over as guidance counselor.
- Chani Elbaz, our new school psychologist, will be here on Tuesdays.
- Jamie Jeuda becomes our speech and language teacher. Jamie will be here Tuesdays & Thursdays.
- Millie Ruiz & Susan Ajami are our fabulous new school aides. Millie will be here in the morning, taking kids off the bus and helping with morning supervision, and Susan will be here in the afternoon to put kids on the bus. They will overlap at noon to help out with lunch and recess.
We have another unexpected and exciting change: in early July, Marina, Allison & I discussed the upper grade positions and concluded that it was time to make a switch. This year, Marina will teach fourth grade and Allison will teach fifth grade. As both Allison and Marina have experience in their “new” grades, this is a great way to give both of these wonderful teachers a chance to try something different.
