GoodSearch: You Search...We Give!

This is the Tribeca Learning Center, PS 150 (formerly known as ECC/Bridges), a public elementary school located in Manhattan at the intersection of Greenwich and Jay Streets. Our students come from all over District Two. We are a school that supports the whole child. Our students learn in a creative and respectful environment. Best of all, we're small enough that each individual student can get what he/she needs.

"Being part of the school has helped our son learn about and explore the world with a creative eye." -- parent

The school opened in 1987 as a public school that encourages student-centered learning and family involvement. Creating a safe atmosphere in which children can take risks, explore limits and use their curiosity as a learning experience is paramount. Our intimate environment ranges from Pre-K through 5th grade.

We offer specialized classes in art, music, dance, technology and library as well as daily classroom activities which encourage the integration of a child's academic development, emotional-social growth, and the arts. We are especially committed to creating a respectful and engaged community of learners.

"The feeling is that all of us are an extended family." --parent

At P.S. 150, children take an active role in their education. Their experience is personal and nurturing due to our small size and commitment to hands-on learning. Our staff is dedicated to meeting the needs and interests of all students.

We promote responsibility, encourage mutual respect, and engender a lifelong commitment to learning as we foster the integration of children's academic achievement, emotional and social growth, and appreciation of culture.

Teachers, parents, and students work closely together to encourage all students to reach their full potential as independent thinkers and interdependent members of our vibrant and diverse community.

"Our approach to teaching and learning allows us to share the wonder and delight that children feel when they learn something for the very first time." -- Marina Templeton, teacher

Our Community
We are a diverse community in which teachers, parents, and students strive to promote responsibility and mutual respect, and to engage in thoughtful dialogue which allows each child to grow to his or her unique and full potential. Strong parental involvement is a key component in our effort to create a safe and joyful environment.

How Can My Child Become a Part of the Community?
You are welcome to tour our school so you'll get to see our classrooms in action. These tours are held each month from October through February. For more information you can call the TLC office: 212-732-4392.

"Being the principal is like being part of a close family. The teachers and I can really get to know every child." -- Alyssa Polack
